ModeOne Integration connects targeted mobile collection, automated processing and review in Relativity aiR through a single workflow.
ModeOne Technologies, the leading provider of targeted, remote mobile data collection solutions, today announced that its ModeOne Integration has been selected as a finalist in the Best Innovation: Workflows category of the 2026 Relativity Innovation Awards.
Each year at RelFest Chicago, legal data intelligence company Relativity celebrates the people and solutions shaping the future of the industry. The Relativity Innovation Awards recognize individual achievement and groundbreaking applications that help legal professionals solve complex data challenges.
The ModeOne Integration brings mobile data directly into Relativity aiR through a seamless, automated workflow. After a one-time configuration, legal teams can select targeted ModeOne collections, transfer data into a Relativity Repository or Review workspace, automatically process it and make it available for review without manual intervention. The integration connects collection, processing and review in one workflow, reducing turnaround time and administrative effort while accelerating access to mobile evidence.
The workflow supports targeted exports in RSMF 2.0 and enables users to create a ModeOne Import Set, select an export and transfer the data directly into Relativity aiR. Processing and publishing steps are automated, allowing threaded conversations and related records to reach reviewers with the chain of custody intact.
ModeOne Chief Innovation Officer Ryan Frye led development of the integration after customers identified downstream ingestion as a persistent source of friction. Customers needed a more efficient way to move collected mobile data into Relativity, reconcile it and promote it for review. Recurring customer feedback shaped a workflow designed around usability, transparency, defensibility and speed.
“Mobile collection should not end with another manual handoff,” said Matthew Rasmussen, founder, CEO and president of ModeOne Technologies. “This integration gives legal and investigative teams a direct path from targeted collection to review, helping them reach the evidence faster while preserving the privacy, control and defensibility that matter throughout the process.”
“We built the ModeOne Integration in response to what customers were experiencing during active matters,” said Ryan Frye, chief innovation officer at ModeOne Technologies. “Collection was moving faster, but the work of getting mobile data into the review environment was still too manual. Connecting those steps in Relativity aiR removes friction at a critical point in the workflow and lets teams focus on the evidence instead of data movement.”
ModeOne customers have used its remote workflows to complete production from more than 60 custodians across multiple states under an aggressive litigation deadline, collect 19 phones in-house within two weeks of onboarding with no third-party handoffs, and make documents available to case teams within 24 hours of collection. The integration extends those operational benefits into the review stage by reducing the time and effort required between collection and analysis.
Best Innovation finalists and winners are selected through a combination of community voting and evaluation by a judging committee. Voting is now closed. Winners will be announced during the Relativity Innovation Awards ceremony at RelFest Chicago, taking place September 29 through October 1, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.
